You can help QSAR International to reduce laboratory testing!

After more than 15 years of conventional research to develop alternative test methods, we are still seeing a steady increase in the use of animals for testing chemicals. Why? Although the general goals of many animal welfare organizations are to reduce, refine, and replace animal tests with alternative laboratory tests (3-Rs strategy), these goals do not address the larger problem of how testing is actually used in decision-making.

QSAR International is bringing the scientific community together with the aim of creating computerized simulators of chemical behavior, or virtual tests, which can be used quickly screen chemicals and eliminate the need for most unnecessary or negative animal tests. This way, QSAR International uses an unique scientific approach to promote change in the safety assesment process by reducing the use of animals without lost of public safety.

By supporting us, you will help us to go a step further in promoting this change, in bridging science and humanity.

Targeted Donations

We will greatly appreciate your tax deductible donation to QSAR International for any of the specific projects listed on our website. There has never been a strong commitment to create QSAR databases and models , so small donations from the public and community involvement are essential.

Your support will bring you in contact with an international team working on the compilation of important chemical data and the creation of new QSAR models of animal test methods.

Research Partnerships

You can work with us on a strategic partnership for the formal exchange of data and models, as well as development of new research proposals for funding-raising. If you have students or are interested in computer modeling, use our online partnership application form to join our work.

Public Education

Expanding QSAR in higher education is essential to the next generation of chemists and toxicologist who understand the use of models as well as the traditional animal testing methods. QSAR International provides lectures, internships and scientific exchange opportunities for the purpose of increasing awareness of non-testing alternatives to animal testing.

Workshops Organization

The International QSAR Foundation hosts strategic planning workshops which bring together scientific experts for the purposes of forging the development of alternative approaches to animal testing. Your donation will directly benefit the QSAR International workshops and therefore improve communication between scientists worldwide.
